to look for when carrying out a site survey. We wont just send you the results
of your survey with a "KVAr Required" column, we will comment on anything we
may have seen at your site that may affect the performance or design of a suitable

PCL is able to provide turnkey solutions to your Power Factor or Harmonic problems
with equipment only, components only or consulting for capacitors, filters and
blocks for your electrical system.
Provide reactors and capacitors along with appropriate mounting hardware.
Provide switching of capacitor banks at zero voltage.
Provide capacitor control by time, temperature, voltage, current, VAr and SCADA
On an Electrical Network Using computer modelling programs Cyme- 'Cymharmo'
and Datashare - 'Powsys' the effect of capacitor banks on such things as ripple
control and harmonics can be evaluated.
This enables detuning reactors or tandem blocking filters to be sized to limit
harmonics.
Provide network load flow, harmonic and resonance analysis modelling. · Using
this information suggest the appropriate capacitor bank design and location
in the network.
We can provide HV Capacitors mounted in a capacitor bank frame for pole mounting.
The capacitors can be stack racked for larger installations or mounted in internal
cabinets for industrial sites. For switching we offer Joslyn VerSaVac and other
single or three phase vacuum switches specifically for capacitor banks. Voltage
transients can be significantly reduced by the use of microprocessor zero voltage
closing control. Switching can be determined and controlled by a specific capacitor
controller and any of the usual brands can be used.
